We drove up to Turtle Creek Nursery from the Highland Creek area about 20 minutes up Odell School Rd. After our Bradford Pear got wiped out from the storms in 2010. Turtle Creek Nursery had a type of Bradford Pear that doesn't split as easily; this was the only place in the area that carried this cultivar.
Turtle Creek Nursery is huge! Bring comfortable walking shoes and maybe some water in the summer; you'll need both walking through the premises to see what is possible. Awesome selection of trees and shrubs; everything was healthy and looked great. If you don't want to have the same plants as the rest of the neighborhood…… who shops at Lowes? This is one place that you can find the stuff to differentiate your landscaping.
The salesperson that helped us out was very knowledgeable; he talked us out of the other Bradford pears saying it still had the same issues as the old ones. We left Turtle Creek Nursery with a Maple tree and three other shrubs. Long story short everything we bought is thriving beautifully. When I need new shrubs or trees for my landscape we will come back to Turtle Creek Nursery.

Old Fashioned and Interesting – Turtle Creek Nursery may be out of the way for some but it is certainly worth seeking out as they have a huge array of plants and trees all suitable for the climate in this area. Stroll around the many greenhouses and pick your plants.

Turtle Creek Nursery is tucked away on Hwy 3 between Mooresville and Davidson, this is one of the best nursery’s around. I came armed with photographs of the area I was landscaping. I believe the lady’s name was Christine but I won’t swear to it, came to my rescue, helping me design my yard with great plants. They advised HOW to plant them as we had already lost multiple plants in a temperamental yard. I’m glad to say we have a beautifully landscaped yard thrives now. Highly recommend Turtle Creek Nursery. Their prices are comparable to other landscape suppliers and nurseries.
